About me

Jos Ebbing

My career revolves around a single principle: changing the rules to create new markets. From the Netherlands I developed the Family2Family model and applied it in 33 countries. I led the turnaround of Sigma (PPG) — from €2 million to €16 million in revenue, from -€1 million to +€4 million EBIT. Today I apply that same disruptive vision to the Italian construction and real estate sector from Milan.

Most companies have the skills and the identity, but lack something to become champions. My mission is to find that missing piece and connect it.

Challenge

The company had a strong product but no international distribution outside Western Europe. Management wanted to expand into Asia and the Middle East, but lacked the networks and local market knowledge.

Approach

Using the Family2Family model I identified and contracted importers in 8 new countries within 12 months. For each market a local partner was selected on the basis of complementarity and long-term vision. Training and onboarding were conducted on-site.

Challenge

The platform had an innovative financing model for renovations but no commercial network to roll it out nationwide. Local agents had to be recruited, trained and managed.

Approach

I built a national network of commercial agents with a structured training and coaching programme. For each region a lead agent was appointed, responsible for local market penetration according to a scalable playbook.

I work for multiple clients simultaneously, through my own company Harley&Dikkinson. Every engagement is delivered independently on the basis of outcome-based agreements.
